A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the official start of our academic and cultural partnership with Johannes Kepler Gymnasium. The celebration concluded with inspiring speeches from Ms. Mallika Preman and Ms. Jagriti Budhiraja, followed by a waltz dance performance and a heartfelt vote of thanks by the students, celebrating this important first step in our collaboration.
The school celebrated Dussehra with a vibrant assembly featuring soulful Durga invocation songs and a powerful dance performance on “Durga Shakti.” A short play depicted the epic battle between Ram and Ravan, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The event concluded with the symbolic burning of Ravan’s effigy by the cabinet members.
The Bagless Day for Classes VI-VIII provided students with an exciting opportunity to engage in hands-on activities such as the STEM Innovation Challenge, Design Thinking, Creative Thinking, and the Micro Bit Challenge. These interactive sessions encouraged creativity and problem-solving, helping students explore new ideas while developing practical skills.
The Bagless Days for Classes IX and X were filled with excitement and creativity as students participated in engaging activities such as the STEM challenge, Mystery Box tasks, creative writing, and design thinking workshops focused on innovation. These hands-on experiences allowed students to explore new ideas, think critically, and collaborate with peers, making the day both enjoyable and educational. The initiative was a refreshing break from routine learning, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their talents and problem-solving skills.

#TagGED 2024 brought together participants from renowned schools across Delhi NCR, who showcased their talents in various categories: Robotics, Social Welfare, Innovation, and Business Entrepreneurship. Each event emphasized practical, real-world solutions to pressing issues, underlining the importance of innovation and creative thinking in shaping a sustainable future.

Empowering Future Leaders : A Journey of Growth, Teamwork, and Leadership!
The Student Council members of Tagore International School, East of Kailash, and Vasant Vihar attended the Delta 01 Leadership Camp in Manesar, where they participated in engaging activities and sessions, including a leadership workshop led by Mr. Rohit Kumar. These activities, such as Pipe and Marble, Sheep and the Shepherd, and Zipline, offered valuable lessons on leadership, communication, and personal growth.
संस्कृत विश्व की सबसे प्राचीन भाषाओं में से एक है । हम इस भाषा का प्रचार-प्रसार करके दुनिया में अपने देश भारत की ख्याति बढ़ाना चाहते हैं।, इसलिए इस वर्ष 22 अगस्त को ईस्ट ऑफ कैलाश स्थित टैगोर इंटरनेशनल स्कूल के सभागार में संस्कृत दिवस समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कक्षा छठी से दसवीं तक के अनेक विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साह एवं उमंग के साथ एक मनोरंजक एवं ज्ञानवर्धक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया । कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता प्राचार्या श्रीमती मल्लिका प्रेमन ने की । कार्यक्रम का आरंभ दीप प्रज्वलन से हुआ । दसवीं कक्षा के एक छात्र ने संक्षिप्त संभाषण द्वारा संस्कृत भाषा के महत्व एवं उपयोगिता के विषय में बताया । इसके बाद क्रमशः एक ऐतिहासिक नाटक का मंचन किया गया और अंतर-कक्षा श्लोक-अन्त्याक्षरी प्रस्तुत की गई । कार्यक्रम के अंत में प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती मल्लिका प्रेमन ने आशीर्वचनों के साथ छात्रों को प्रोत्साहित किया और मार्गदर्शन किया । उन्होंने संस्कृत के प्राचीन गौरव और आधुनिक युग में संस्कृत की उपयोगिता के विषय में बताया। उन्होंने संस्कृत को संचार का सशक्त माध्यम मानते हुए व्यावहारिक भाषा कहा और दैनिक व्यवहार में इस भाषा का गौरव के साथ प्रयोग करने का छात्रों से अनुरोध किया । उन्होंने कार्यक्रम की सफलता के लिए छात्रों और शिक्षकों को शुभकामनाएं दीं । इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से छात्रों ने न केवल सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित किया बल्कि संस्कृत भाषा के महत्व और उपयोगिता को भी समझा । संस्कृत दिवस कार्यक्रम अत्यंत मनोरंजक एवं ज्ञानवर्धक रहा ।
The Investiture Ceremony was a momentous occasion where the newly inducted cabinet members of our school were honored by distinguished alumni, exemplifying the enduring bond between past and present students. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership and excellence. The ceremony concluded on a high note with the Interhouse Fusion Beat Dance Competition, where students showcased their patriotic spirit through a vibrant and dynamic display of dance, uniting tradition with contemporary flair. This celebration of leadership and patriotism truly embodied the spirit of our school community.
With great enthusiasm, the school celebrated the 78th Independence Day. Ekta House students organized the assembly, starting with a flag ceremony led by Mallika ma’am and a few alumni. The entire school then sang the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic energy. The program featured speeches, music, and performances emphasizing the importance of freedom and unity. The event served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the nation and our responsibilities as its citizens.
Patriotic songs, dances, freedom run for students of Pre-primary kids, Art and craft and doodle art for students of class I to III were conducted.
Celebrating 82nd anniversary of the Launch of Quit India Movement on 8 August in 1942, students of class VIII participated in the quiz organized on leaders of Quit India Movement in Delhi.With their enthusiastic participation they were able to make new learnings connecting modern Delhi to the past.
On the occasion of Hiroshima Day observed on 6 August every year, students of class VIII commemorated the tragic event of dropping of atomic bombs on the Japanese town of Hiroshima. Two days later another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Some interesting and rare picture slides related to the event were shared and the students took a PEACE PLEDGE – of saying no to WAR.
Tagore International School, East of Kailash inaugurated the year- long celebration of its sixtieth anniversary on 3 August 2024. The event saw the art maestro, Mr. Rajeev Lochan as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries, Mrs. Madhulika Sen, Senior Education Advisor, and Mrs. Neera Chopra, Academic Advisor, along with former teachers and alumni were also in attendance.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a formal welcome of the Chief Guest. The highlight of the occasion was the screening of a short film that showcased the school’s brilliant achievements over the years, providing a glimpse into the ethos that have been the cornerstone of its culture. The film set the tone for a series of cultural performances, each adding a unique charm to the event.
In his address, Mr. Rajeev Lochan urged the audience, especially the students, to embrace creativity and open-mindedness. He emphasised on the importance of dynamism in the field of art through anecdotes and real-life examples.
The former Vice Principal, Ms. Shabnam Pardal and three alumni members from the batch of 1980 took the audience on a trip to nostalgia and shared their fondest memories of school days. The highlight of the event was a duet sung by one of the senior most alumni, Mr. Raman Bajaj and a freshly out of school alumna, Ms. Aroma Mathews.
The event was a testament to the strong association between its teachers and students as the whole school community- former and present, stood together to celebrate the remarkable milestone in the school’s history, reinforcing the spirit of unity and tradition that has been the foundation of its success.
Tagore International School, East of Kailash, has completed 60 years and is celebrating this milestone throughout the academic session. One of the highlights of this jubilee year was the art exhibition, Pixels and Paint, held from August 1-3, 2024. Organized by the school’s Emerald Art Society and Polaroid Club, the event took place at the Arpana Caur Art Gallery.
The opening ceremony, inaugurated by Mr. Thomas Chaumont, the French Language Attaché for the French Embassy in India, alongside renowned artist Ms. Arpana Caur, featured an engaging introduction by emcees Arsh Ali and Zaina Khan, highlighting the school’s motto – Aham Yogya Asmi (I am worthy), and its recent ranking as 10th in Delhi and 25th in India for academic excellence by the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework.
The ceremony included the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a musical performance from the school choir. In his address, Mr. Chaumont praised the students’ artistic talents and stressed the importance of cross-cultural exchange in education. The exhibition also supported the project, Mobility Matters, in collaboration with Jaipur Foot and the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, with proceeds directed towards providing prosthetic limbs to disadvantaged individuals.
The event concluded with a guided tour of the exhibition, led by the student artists themselves. The art exhibition was a resounding success, showcasing the immense talent and creativity of Tagoreans, and leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.
The school proudly hosted the fifth edition of Polaroid: ‘Polaroid 5.0: Digital Media Fest’ from Tuesday, 23 July to Thursday, 25 July, 2024. This festival, in collaboration with PhotoNest and Yashi Tech, was meticulously organized to foster and celebrate the artistic endeavors of young filmmakers, photographers, and graphic designers. The theme for this year was ‘Resilient Communities, Sustainable World,’ which aligned with global efforts towards sustainability and resilience in communities.
Over the course of three days, the school hosted seven dynamic events: Logo and Advertisement Designing, Music Album Art, Storyboard Making, Surprise Event, Montage Making, Photography, and B-Roll Making. Schools from across Delhi NCR participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents and creativity.
This year, we proudly continued the tradition of incorporating a student jury. These talented students from various schools, equipped with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of current trends and social issues, served as judges for several events. The student jury was instrumental in the evaluation of the Logo and Advertisement Designing, Music Album Art, and Storyboard Making events.
The esteemed judges were highly impressed by the creativity and ingenuity displayed by the participants. They encouraged the participants to continue honing their skills and pursuing their passion in their respective fields.
Students of class VI made cutouts of the torch and depicted the values of the torch bearer of resilience .
The French students celebrated the National Day of France, better known as Bastille Day or le quatorze juillet, commemorating the Storming of the Bastille (culmination of a violent revolution in France) on 14 July 1789.
The event started with a group song by the school choir followed by a short play on the Little Red Riding Hood and storytelling based on The Tennis Court Oath, the first revolution that took place in France. The students further showcased their talents by presenting a mesmerizing group dance.
There was an exhibition of the posters and paintings made by the French students. A cooking workshop on French food was also conducted in the school.It was a great learning experience for all the students. Mr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Attaché for cooperation in French Language & Education from Embassy of France/ French Institute in India was the Chief Guest. He encouraged the students with his words of wisdom and appreciated their performance. He spoke about the importance of cultural exchange programs and gave information about various scholarships that are being offered by the French Embassy to the Indian students to study in France.
In the spirit of Rachel Carson’s words, “In nature, nothing exists alone,” our school hosted a bicycle rally as a part of our 60-year celebration. This rally was organised in collaboration with Rotary Club of Delhi Heights and aimed to foster environmental consciousness through an engaging and enjoyable activity.
Kicking off the event, our talented students performed a captivating Nukkad Natak on the theme of “Save Water”. In an exciting step towards sustainability, we proudly installed our school’s first bottle crusher. To further our commitment to a greener future, we organised a plantation drive and collectively planted a Banyan tree within the school premises.
The Cycle for Earth event was a resounding success, marked by high participation and a strong message of environmental conservation. The collective effort underscored the significance of environmental stewardship and community involvement.
School celebrated World Heritage Day with enthusiasm, engaging students from Class VI to X in activities ranging from exploring UNESCO sites to creating posters, quizzes, bookmarks, and sketches, fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural and natural heritage preservation.
