Career in Astrophysics held on 13.08.2024

A session on astrophysics was held for Class 11 and 12 students, led by Dr. Bidyut K Bhattacharyya. With nearly 30 US patents and around 130 publications, Dr. Bhattacharyya has been honored with Intel’s highest Individual Achievement Award by Gordon Moore and Andy Grove for developing a simulation tool crucial to the 386 and 486 product lines. The session covered key astrophysics concepts, including celestial bodies, stars, black holes, and cosmology, while also providing insights into current research and advancements.
