Theatre

Acting is a great tool to build confidence, self-esteem and poise. Through Theatre, the students of classes I-V learn the importance of hard-work, creativity and self-confidence. Children are thus encouraged to ward off their shyness and fear through multifarious theatrical games, role-plays and story-telling. These theatre activities inspire children to be original and motivate innovative thinking. Our students enjoy the rewards that come with working together to achieve a common goal.

Public Speaking

Students of classes I to V are trained to communicate to an audience and overcome their fear of stage. They are trained to develop communication skills and build confidence. It gives them an opportunity to groom their leadership quality. Speaking skills are practiced in a variety of ways such as group discussions, role plays, poetry recitation and class discussions on various topics.

Instrumental Music

Students of classes I-V are given authentic experience in music that fosters an appreciation for melody through chords, scales and finger patterns on the synthesizer. Songs and instrumental pieces are given each month to understand the theories taught.The comprehensive curriculum includes listening, analyzing, composing and improvising the musical pieces taught.

Dance

Dance makes a unique contribution through its use of non-verbal communication. Students learn the importance of movement to explore and communicate ideas and issues as well as their own feelings and thoughts. They receive formal training in Kathak and other folk dances and are also encouraged to learn and understand the different classical dance forms in India. During the training process they develop an awareness of the historical and cultural origins of different dances.

Clay Modelling

Clay Modelling gives children an opportunity to be creative and learn about texture, shape and form while having fun. It may seem to be a simple process but when practised with perseverance it can produce unexpected and beautiful shapes, depending upon the skill of the potter’s hand. It allows one to think and give shape to one’s imagination. The students work for hours on end with infinite patience to bring out their creative talents.

Vocal Music

Music is a unique form of communication that can change the way one feels, think and act. It forms a part of an individual’s identity. Positive interaction with music can develop one’s competence and increase the self-esteem. It plays an extremely important role in the personal development of the students. Through listening, performing and composing, the school aims to provide opportunity for students to be creative, to enjoy and appreciate music for life!
