Speech and Drama
Speech & Drama classes aim to improve oratory and communication skills among students by providing them a platform to express their ideas, enact roles of their choice, debate, participate in group discussions, and engage in persuasive dialogues and oral presentations. The students learn to understand viewpoints, exude confidence and collaborate with others to work as a team.
Theatre
The Theatre classes provide students with a unique platform to create stories and characters of their own, discover different styles and genres of scripts and perform well known plays. It builds students’ confidence to develop creativity, emotional intelligence, language and communication skills. Theatre encourages them to understand the world around them and to become sensitive towards society.
Instrumental Music
There are a number of reasons why one should learn to play a musical instrument. However, the key aim of Instrumental Music classes is to promote cooperation, teamwork and a sense of community through making music together. Students in this performing art develop an understanding of the following musical concepts: Pitch, Duration, Dynamics, Rhythm, Tempo and Texture. Students learn all melodic and percussion instruments within a well-structured syllabus. Besides, they also perform, listen to, review and evaluate music.


Painting
Talent, creativity, productivity and achievement are terms that define the visual art. In these classes, students experiment with art forms, use of art materials, specific techniques and observational drawing skills, under the supervision of a professional instructor. Art activities may include participating in school events, school and community beautification projects, contests , exhibition and educational art trips.
Dance
Dancing is an art; the floor is a canvas. And a dancer is like a brush. Dance classes help students find the song in their heart, the beat in their feet and a passion for life. The purpose of training in these classes is to cultivate and enhance the interest in dance, highlighting that they are not only the medium of entertainment but also a medium for proper channelization of emotions. Students in these classes are given training in the field of Indian Classical Dance Kathak and other associated Indian Classical Performing Arts. Learning an art form like dance also makes one more receptive, sensitive and helps in the development of one’s aesthetic nature.
Vocal Music
Music is a unique form of communication that can change the way one feels, think and act. It forms a part of an individual’s identity. Positive interaction with music can develop one’s competence and increase the self-esteem. It plays an extremely important role in the personal development of the students. Through listening, performing and composing, the school aims to provide opportunity for students to be creative, to enjoy and appreciate music for life!
