The educational trip to SECMOL (Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh) and Ladakh’s well known school Druk Padma Karpo was an eye-opening and enriching experience for the faculty of Tagore International School. The faculty also had the opportunity to meet Mr Sonam Wangchuk, the Founding Director, who established SECMOL in 1988 alongwith a group of students who, according to him, were the ‘victims’ of an alien education system.
The visit provided valuable insights into sustainable practices, comprehensive education, academic excellence, and innovative teaching methods. The trip has renewed our commitment to provide holistic education to our students and integrate sustainable practices into our school culture.
