Regional Corporate Partnerships Lead

Sachal is a development communication strategist with a cross sector experience spanning in Communications, Partnerships and Corporate Engagement for over 19 years. He has led on designing and delivering strategic partnerships, global volunteering programmes and impactful communication strategies in international development organisations, UN agencies, private sector companies and Ministries of the Indian government. He is a strategic thinker, an engagement specialist and a thought leader.

Sachal presently leads corporate partnerships for Plan International in the Asia-Pacific region for 15 countries based in India. Plan is an international development organisation advancing children’s rights and equality for girls in over 80 countries.  

Sachal’s work countries included India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vietnam. He’s been a UN SDGs advocate and a global partnerships advisor to many international organisations and juror of eminent national and international volunteering awards including imaGEN Ventures and UNV India volunteering awards.

Educationally, Sachal is a post graduate in Development Communications from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia University, an MBA in Marketing and a post graduate in Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India University. Additionally, he obtained a certification in Sustainable Business Strategy from the Harvard Business School, which empowers world leaders to take a leading role in creating a fair and sustainable world.

Sachal serves as the President of Tagore International Alumni Association (TIAA) and provides guidance and leadership to the alumni engagement strategy and engagements. He also has been a juror for the inter-school #TagGED and “#TagGED 2.0” events.
